E2 is a handset very different lower part of the pretty poor ROKR E1. The greatest shock is that they are not telephones of iTunes - it runs the proper player of multi-media of Motorola. And the surprises do not finish there - it is a telephone Linux-based too.

Motorola launch their new RAZR - Motorola RAZR2 V8 with very large external display. It has a 2″ 240×320 pixel and maybe the largest external display that we have been seen. The clamshell design is perfect with touch screen sensitive feature. You can control by touching softkeys on the screen for media playback.

When you open the Motorola RAZR V8, you will find a 2.2″ 240×320 pixel main panel and the flat style RAZR keypad. The camera comes with 2 megapixel and it less expected from an advanced multimedia cell phone. Tee video capture only have 176×144 pixels and it’s not a great for camera phone.

Moto FONE F3 Cheap Phone Motorola

Motorola FONE F3 (also known as the MOTOFONE) is a very slim bar format phone that’s due to hit the market by the end of the year. There are two versions - the FONE F3 is a GSM handset, the F3c is a CDMA version for North America and other CDMA markets.

There are a some major advantages that EPD displays have over more traditional panels such as TFT or OLED technologies. Firstly, the screen can be read even in direct sunlight as it behaves just like a printed piece of paper, and secondly the energy consumption of an EPD display is very low, and as electrophoretic displays are basically quite simple there’s a potential for saving space and weight.

Motorola ROKR E6 Review

Motorola ROKR E6 certainly is new and a little unexpected - it’s a very stylish Linux smartphone with very capable multimedia support. And thankfully it shares almost nothing in common with the original ROKR (we called it the FLOPR), even to the extent that the ROKR E6 doesn’t have iTunes support. The ROKR E2 was a iTunes-less Linux device too, but the ROKR E6 is hugely different.

The main feature on the ROKR E6 is the large 2.4″ touch-sensitive screen with 240×320 pixels in 262,000 colours. Unusually for Motorola, the ROKR E6’s memory expansion is using SD cards rather than microSD cards, and the E6 can take up to 2Gb of memory.

Motorola RIZR Z8 Review

Unlike conventional sliders with a simply up/down mechanism, the RIZR Z8 curves inwards so that it is more ergonomic to use, rather like a clamshell phone.

There’s a comprehensive multimedia player and stereo Bluetooth support. Motorola’s press department chose to illustrate the RIZR Z8’s multimedia capabilities by slapping on a picture of Johnny Depp for some reason.

Symbian is a little bit of an unusual choice for Motorola. Most of their recent smartphones, including the promising looking ROKR E6 have been Linux devices. Although Motorola have used Symbian in the past, we had almost assumed that they had dropped the operating system entirely.
